BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender, India’s happiest festival, has caused quite a flurry with its cap of 9000 tickets in Pune this year, after having sold 15000 tickets in 2012. Tickets for the edition go on sale on the 20th August , and are available at http://nh7.in/weekender/.
Bacardi and Only Much Louder bring the fourth edition of the festival featuring more than 200 bands across six stages in four cities with its signature festive spirit. This year, the festival starts out in Pune from 18th – 20th October, then travels to Bangalore on 23rd and 24th November, makes a stop in Delhi on 30th Nov and 1st December and ends in Kolkata on 14th and 15th of December. This is the first time that the festival will take place in Kolkata.
Artist Lineup for Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Delhi
Chase & Status DJ Set: British electronic dance music duo Chase & Status DJ Set headline the BACARDI Arena at the festival in Pune. The legendary act has quickly risen to fame, and are heralded as path breaking producers by the likes of Pharrel Williams, Snoop Dogg and Rihanna. Joined on stage by MC Rage, the duo of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) have headlined the biggest music festivals across the world including Glastonbury, Roskilde and Rock Werchter. Chase & Status are one of the biggest selling artists in the UK, having sold over 1 million singles in 2011 in the UK alone, with their albums More Than a Lot and No More Idols topping charts in the UK.
Manu Chao La Ventura: Celebrated Spanish/French singer Manu Chao headlines The DEWARISTS in Pune this year. The world music star, whose sound is influenced by funk, punk, alternative rock and reggae sings in a number of languages including French, Spanish, Arabic, English, Italian and Portuguese. Manu Chao has devoted followers across the globe owing to the varied topics his music addresses including immigration, love, living in ghettos and often carry a political message.
Textures: Progressive metal band Textures return to India for their first performance in Pune & Kolkata headlining the BACARDÍ Arena. The band has an immense following in India, having played here twice before, in 2009 and in 2010. Since their last visit, the Dutch metallers have released their fourth studio album, Dualism and also toured across the globe extensively, including a North American tour alongside Periphery (who headlined the Bangalore edition of the festival last year).
Simian Mobile Disco: British electronic music duo Simian Mobile Disco headline the ERISTOFF Wolves Den in Pune this year. With a cult following across the world, the duo’s DJ avatar took off almost immediately, rapidly taking over their initial indie-pop outfit Simian. Techno-heavy, the duo is well-known for relying heavily on analog production and have gained popularity for their remixes of songs by other artists, as well as their own material.
The BACARDÍ Arena features the biggest headliners of the festival, as well the best rock and metal acts from India and across the globe. The stage will unite festivalgoers across stages for the must-see headliners this year. Electro giantsChase & Status DJ Set (UK), alternative rock, metal and reggae biggies Skindred (Wales), progressive metal band Textures (Netherlands) and Karsh Kale Collective + NH7 All Stars perform at the BACARDI Arena in Pune this year. The stage also features popular hardcore band, Scribe (Mumbai) known equally for their music as their on-stage antics, explosive electro-rock act Pentagram (Mumbai), inspired electro-rock band Sky Rabbit (Mumbai) and thrash metal act Devoid (Mumbai).
The DEWARISTS brings alive the best of folk, world and eclectic music to the festival featuring passionate artists with inspirational stories who create a laidback vibe, and constant sense of merriment throughout the day at this stage. This year, the DEWARISTS features iconic alt-rock/punk/reggae artist Manu Chao La Ventura (France), the popular folk rock band The Raghu Dixit Project (Bangalore), folk hero Papon & The East India Company (Mumbai/Assam), a live set by electro pioneers Midival Punditz (Live) (Delhi), folk legends Indian Ocean (Delhi), fusion star Shankar Tucker (America), guitar hero Warren Mendonsa’s rock and blues project Blackstratblues (Mumbai), popular folk-rock duo Slow Club (England), world music act Maati Baani(Mumbai), singer-songwriter Prateek, with a double bass and drums together known as the Prateek Kuhad Collective and blues/rock/psychedelic act Parvaaz (Bangalore).
ERISTOFF Wolves Den
The high-energy ERISTOFF Wolves Den gets you to the dance floor with live electronica and dance music through the day. This year, ERISTOFF Wolves Den features acclaimed electronic music duo Simian Mobile Disco (London), popular live electronica act Dualist Inquiry (Delhi) and bass-heavy producer Nucleya (Delhi), visually exciting electro-act BLOT! goes up against techno-heavy Kohra in BLOT! vs Kohra (Delhi). The stage will also feature sets from minimal tech and hard electronica pioneer Vachan (Bangalore), guitarist and producer Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator (Delhi) and Krunk All-Stars, which is a collective of the top artists on the roster of breakthrough electronica agency Krunk.
The Other Stage
The Other Stage features raw acoustic talent, singer-songwriters and sometimes the most unexpectedly fantastic acts at the festival. This year, the stage features eclectic vocalist Suman Sridhar (Mumbai) with crazy drumming talent Jiver (Kolkata), upcoming indie-pop act Nischay Parekh (Kolkata), pop-rock favourite Ankur Tewari(Mumbai) indie drawler Your Chin (Mumbai) and hilarious comedy-rock act Vir Das’ Alien Chutney (Mumbai).

Rewarding long-time fans and limiting tickets to 9000
This year BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender rewards its long-time fans. After having more than 15,000 thrilled festivalgoers in Pune on the final day last year, the festival reduces the number of tickets to 9000 in Pune this year. BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender is about introducing music lovers in India to festival culture; it’s about providing the best possible festival experience – from the bands that play, to the vibe, to creating the happiest memories – for fans across the country. The festival reduces the number of tickets this year to create the most memorable experiences for those people, and to give back to the community that has supported and strengthened the festival year on year. The festival ticket will also be priced at exactly the same amount as the previous year (Rs. 3000) for people who have been part of the BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender journey or attended any of the OML festivals in the past.
Season tickets for Pune are priced at Rs. 3000 for the NH7 Community (those people who have previously attended the festival and/or Invasion and A Summer’s Day or who are registered on NH7.in or NH7 Secret service). Tickets for Under 21 festivalgoers are priced at Rs. 1750 for the season pass. For all other festivalgoers, season tickets are priced at Rs. 3750.
