Fat Ninja starts weekly live performance nights, The Shakey Rays to play 2nd edition After a good response to their first live night featuring Delhi Jazz duo Adil and Vasundhara, Asian restaurant Fat Ninja is keeping it’s new live gig property ‘Fat Fat Fridays’ going. Situated on the third floor in Hauz Khas Village, Fat Ninja joins a slew of venues in the village who have opened their doors to curated live performances for the discerning music lover. This, the second edition of Fat Fat Fridays, is being curated by Delhi Agency, Stiff Kittens Inc.

On the lineup, are The Shakey Rays, a rock and roll band from Chennai who have recently relocated to Delhi. With them are the Jass Rays, comprising The Rays lineup replaced by The Jass B’stards/ The Ska Vengers bassist Tony Guinard on bass and the addition of Stefan Kaye on keyboard. The night will end with DJ Flexi K ripping it up with some 50’s style rock n roll, surf, punk and rockabilly up till closing time. Says Vikram Kannan of The Shakey Rays, ‘We moved to Delhi because we are in a band to play live, and
this is the only city we see having more than just a couple of venues hosting live nights. We’ve gotten a new bassist, are working on new material and are happy to be securing gigs often through our management agency, Stiff Kittens Inc.’
