Nirvana, a rock bad formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in 1987, has come to be regarded as one of the most influential and important rock bands of the modern era. With anthems like Smells like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, Heart Shaped Box, Rape Me, and Lithium, Nirvana has a strong cult following even though the band ono released three full-length studio albums in their short seven year career. The death of Kurt Cobain in 1994 ended the band, and here we are, at High Spirits, celebrating the magic that was, is, and always will be Nirvana.
Paying tribute to the band is I AM BLISS, a fantastic garage band. The new noise. Pune-based band, I AM BLISS fuse alluring melodies with ethereal ambiance & youthful chaos, all while slam dancing to the beat of struggle. With Danesh Munshi on guitar and vocals, Shreyas Iyengar on drums, and Siddharth Gupta on bass, who better to do a tribute to the immortal music of Nirvana?
