Indiestan feat. Aks at The High Spirits, Pune

Formed in 2011, ‘Multi-genre Rock’ was a term they coined to describe their music. They play, make music pertaining to various genres, with an underlying base of good old Rock.

‘Aks’ in poetic terms means the ‘Reflection of the soul’. Their music bears much significance with the name and reflects who they are, how they think and the music they make. They make music according to what they feel and their genres vary from reggae to rock, electronica to sufi and so does their themes – from patriotic to mischievous, sad to funny.

As artists, they live music and draw inspiration from two essential things: life and love. Everything they play, write and sing portrays their experiences and beliefs.
