ALEXIS is a 5-piece outfit, named after the front-woman, Alexis D’Souza. Sequins, neon, kittens, chocolate, lazer, booty-shake and shoulder-pads. These are some generic keywords that may help you identify the kind of music they write and play.

Line up:

Keyboard/ Synths
Srijayanth Sridhar is your garden variety software hobo whose first love, the guitar, spurned him. Unable to bear this rejection, he took up playing the keyboards and now uses his synths to deafen people… in a good way. He carries nunchakus with him at all times. Approach with caution.

Guitars
His extraordinary musical prowess aside, Ramanan Chandramouli is known best for his incredible likeness to the feline Internet phenomenon we know fondly as Grumpy Cat.

Drums
Deepak Raghu fails miserably at persuading people that he is but only a metal drummer. His versatility is heralded across the land, squealing maidens follow him everywhere. Deepak is one of the few drummers who can jump genres across the spectrum without so much as a face twitch.

Bass Guitar
Kaushik Kumar moonlights as an architect, drawing straight lines by day, playing groovy ones at night. It is rumoured that when Kaushik picks up a bass guitar, it triggers an inexplicable epidemic of involuntary popping, locking and snaking in unsuspecting victims across the city.

Vocals
Alexis D’Souza spent 10 years of her life as a loud and proud piano geek, only to discover (through karaoke, no less) that she ought to just stick to singing. And cats. A wave of inspiration overcame her suddenly in early 2012 and a small but meaningful repertoire of original music was born. Her biggest achievement, however, has to have been acquiring a group of bad-ass-boys who volunteered to play her girly-pop.

Guest Vocalist (Backing)
This curly-haired goddess and long-time confidante of Alexis D’Souza has a line of love-sick boys around the block that just keeps getting longer. That however, is the least of her concern. Put a mic in her hand, shine a spotlight on her and you will witness the heavenliness that is Deepa Jacob.
