THE BSM CHORALE, a 30-Member Choir conducted by Victor Thomas Abraham, comprises a group of men and women of all ages ranging from students to young professionals who, united by their common
love for singing, meet regularly to sing pieces from Bach to McCartney, & Ballads to Broadway. They have given innumerable Concerts over the years, raising funds for the Music SchoolÂ’s new Building & for worthy
charitable causes.
Victor Thomas Abraham started teaching choir in 1974 at the age of 19 years. A Commerce Graduate with
a Post-Graduate in Materials Management, his passion for music led him to Fr. Theodore Pereira, O.F.M.C.,
who trained him. He studied voice under Margarita Shack & Frank Wingler (Germany), David Lawrence &
Darrell Runswick (UK) & Audrey Borchell (USA). His conducting techniques were sharpened under the
guidance of Prof. H.J.Koelreutter (Germany) & Neil Thomson (UK) during their master classes. He conducts
several School, College & Church choirs. He has been closely associated with the Bangalore School of
Music for the past 22 years, conducting the Chorale & taking Voice Production classes.
