Shawn Pereira, Varun Sood, Roop Thomas, Reinhardt Dias and Anish Menon – five very unique, talented individuals formed BLAKC to escape the boredom of routine life. In the past three years that BLAKC has been around with its present lineup, they participated in a lot of local college competitions. After making it to the finals of both IRock and Campus Rock, they graduated to opening and headlining shows in Mumbai as well as other cities. Today BLAKC has played over 150 shows across 15 cities in India.
Their second album Motheredland was released in the end of 2012, the band also released their first music Video for the song Untitled from the album. Towards the end of 2014, Blakc found itself replacing long time drummer Shishir with an awesomely talented Delhi-based drummer Varun Sood. The band is currently writing new music for their third album and has no plans to allow life as such to disrupt the crazy life they are living.
