A gala concert featuring The Bombay Chamber Orchestra with guest musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Patrick Bailey.
The highlight of the concert is the performance of Rachmaninoffs Piano Concerto No. 1 by the acclaimed 21-year-old British pianist, Kenneth ONeill. Rossinis William Tell Overture, excerpts from Bizets Carmen Suites 1 and 2, and Rimsky-Korsakovs Capriccio Espagnole make up the rest of the programme.
The Bombay Chamber Orchestra (BCO), in the last 50 years since its formation in 1962, has regaled audiences in Mumbai and other cities in India as well as in Sri Lanka with over 200 concerts. It is Indias longest surviving orchestra.
