Boomarang at Hard Rock Cafe Mumbai (Worli)

Boomarang, a four member band from Aizawl, Mizoram in the north eastern region of  India, has come a long way since covering against ridden American band Rage and playing their first gigs (including the Great Indian Rock- GIR) in 2007. Though relatively new on themainstream music scene, Boomarang is no stranger to laurels having won many national awards in addition to performing at international festivals. The band plays ‘JUNK’ rock (a blend of Jazz, Funk and Punk music), and has further excelled with their big win at Contrabands, (a joint venture between leading record label Universal Music India, India’s premier Entertainment channel Vh1 and leading live music venueHard Rock Café). They are considered one of the country’s best rock outfits. Their single ‘Home’ from Luke Kenny’s ‘Rise of the Zombies’ has been well-received.

They have played alongside international acts like Korn, Lamb of God, Aurora Jane, Fire house, Tribal Tech, Enslaved, Intron out and Scott Kinsey Band. Besides they have also been named ‘Top Ten Bands to watch out for’ by the Rolling Stone magazine in India.
