Bass Sekolah is the sonic equivalent of the taste of reddened, ripe mangos dripping with thick, syrupy tang that! cut with a hint of spicy lime-orange. Bass Sekolah are a duo. They make music in the jungle quite literally.
The group has played some of the most important festivals and club nights in Asia, yet outside of being featured on Phon.os Crackling Spaces Pt. 1 EP, they havent released a damn thing! This is about to change. Introducing Lighthouse, their official debut single. Think: sensual, sultry a carefully curated blend of some of the warmest hues and splatters that electronic music and sound design can produce.
Bass Sekolah are producer Cee and multi instrumentalist-crooner Darren Ashley,and theyre on a mission to make honest, soulful, forward thinking Electronica. The group is currently working on their debut LP, and you will be hearing more from them soon.
SICKFLIP is a collaborative and experimental solo project brought to life by Sarvesh Shrivastava, 21 year old music producer and DJ from Bombay, India (Founder of the Drum&Bass collective – Mental Martians)
Musically, SICKFLIP ranges from bass heavy and chest rattling Glitch hop to deep experimental sounds . His music has an indefinable mix of calm & serene, happy, melodic vibes and atmospheres to contrasting heavy, face-melting, chest rattling, hectic sequences.
His styles are majorly influenced by artists like Bassnectar, Koan Sound, Nicolas Jaar, Trolley Snatcha, Tricky, Amon Tobin, Noisia and a lot more. He intends to collaborate with a lot more artists in future, making more music and hopefully soon unleashing his Glitch Hop Live set.
Not much later than his first single, his recent debut EP – “Outburst EP” on the dutch label – Rub A Duck records has been well received worldwide. He also released his second EP this July 13 Bipolar on the NH7 Audiolizer which was available for download and became an instant hit!
