DJ RUSKIN

DJ Ruskin has held residencies at some of Mumbai’s premier bars when they were at the peak of their fame and buzz on the city’s nightlife scene. He’s been DJing for over a decade-and-a-half, developing a distinctive flavour of sound that favours cutting-edge over commercialism, intelligence and originality over imitating popular trends.

Ruskin’s goal is to take audiences through a musical journey of the mind, body and soul, keeping things fresh yet accessible for new listeners. Whether it’s progressive, deep, funky or soulful house, minimal tech, techno/electro-breaks, lush lounge or ethereal ambient, Ruskin aims to create an atmosphere infused with energy that is palpable, infectious and absolutely irresistible.

DJ LAROZ SOUNDSYSTEM (Israel)
Haim Laroz, is one of the most established and skilled producers in the music world today. The works of Laroz are numerous, and show diversity and unmatched production skills. From the chilled out jazzy vibes of “Laroz is a rose”, to the dub and reggae masterpiece “Allstars”. Laroz, who returned from New York in 1983, influenced by hip hop grooves, was one of the first musicians to create electronic music in Israel, while at the same time playing bass guitar in Israeli pop-rock productions and performing with the top bands.

In the early 90s he ventured into Goa trance music which became extremely popular in the mid 90s but back then was virtually unknown. In 1994 he established the “eq’s” with his associate from the Goa trance period – Tal Ekheizer. They were experimenting with Israeli trip hop, drum & bass and chill-out.

Laroz’s inspiration from Jamaican/hip hop and dub artists that performed in Dinamo Dvash, Israel’s premiere underground electronic music club, brought him away from the down-tempo and chilled out groove productions and lead him to reggae/dub.

Reggae/dub has roots in Reggae, but also comprises modern day ska, dancehall and dub poetry. Laroz is a reputable producer, composer and bassist; he has collaborated with a number of Israel’s leading artists and has done a remix for the Pet Shop Boys.
