The Mumbai-based BBC (Bay Beat Collective) comprising of Kris Correya and Sohail Arora was formed in late 2008 in response to the abundance of standardissue electronica so often churned out in clubs and bars across the country. Influenced by bass music artists across the board, BBC explores new aural territory, dabbling in styles ranging from drum n bass to dubstep, with a partiality to “phat” basslines and high voltage grooves that are infectious, delicious & supremely funky.
In addition to this, BBC’s extensive tours of Asia & Europe in August 2010 & 2012 through Germany, UK, Croatia, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Hong Kong & Singapore have put them on the world map. BBC have injected fun into a scene, which was mutating into an increasingly austere and po-faced arena. Reggae Rajahs
Reggae Rajahs (Diggy Dang, DJ MoCity and Mr. Herbalist aka General Zooz) are India’s first reggae sound system. Known for their energetic live performances, they are reggae entertainers and promoters based out of New Delhi. Formed in 2009, Reggae Rajahs have dedicated themselves to spreading the sounds of reggae music across India. They frequently perform at clubs and live venues all over the country and have also performed at many festivals including Sunburn Festival (Goa), SulaFest (Nashik) and Ragasthan (Jaisalmer). They host their own stage at the NH7 Weekender Festival called the ‘Dubstation’ which has introduced thousands of people to dub based sounds over the last two years.Genre: reggae -
