Grey Area is a pop/rock band, based in Mumbai, India which comprises four passionate musicians; Elton (Bassist), Sanchit (Percussion/Drums), Floyd (Vocalist, Lead Guitar) and Nestor (Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar). The band members have jammed together on several occasions for local and international congresses under different names. They first met to form the ‘Gen Presence’ a local Christian band and under this name played various gigs around the city and across states as well. They later changed their name to ‘Afterglow’ a strictly commercial band, where they performed across venues in the city; Jazz by the bay, U-Nite and Local fetes. For long the band had a dream of reaching out and sharing their own compositions with a larger audience. This prompted the guys to put together the band once more, resulting in the formation of Grey Area.

They’ve released multiple original tracks that you can check out on Reverbnation. Recently they also featured on Radio One 94.3 FM on Drive Mumbai with Erica as home grown band of the week and they have lots planned for the near futures as well so don’t go anywhere!

Commitment stems from passion, or so they hear. They as Grey Area wear our heart on our sleeve. They’re not afraid to slide away from the usual and bring you something that’s all Grey Area. Our music is inspired by first-hand experiences. Life is full of nuts and bolts they say, but hey, they write songs that cover it all! Music is what creates memories for us. Be it a late night drive, a good jam session, or some bitterly twisted love, they like to piece it all together by way of rhythm and rhyme.

They’re not crazy about standard protocol, Grey Area likes to play around and figure out what sounds good and what makes you groove. They like to blend our beats with our personalities. That’s what makes us so special. Do check out our music and leave your valued comments/criticism. It will help us get better at making music. That’s all that matters really. It’s sincere passion for good music that brings out the best in us and it’s always good music that drives the best in you.
