Having recently relocated to Delhi from Chennai, the band will perform for the second time at DaZ with their new bassist Rohit Bhattacharya The Shakey Rays comprises songwriters Vikram Kannan and Dhruva Gautham, along with drummer Niranjan Swaminathan. They play Rhythm and Blues/ Rock n Roll with a Punk aesthetic. The band released a well received album, ‘Tunes from the Big Belly’ in mid-2011, completed a countrywide tour in it’s support in 2012 and have since been regular on the touring circuit.
Their impulsive and unpredictable live act is backed by impressive songwriting, which has been purported by many to be on par with the greatest Rock n Roll songwriters.
