Founders of the ‘Awesome’ and ‘Indo-international Mass’ genres, Mad men, Bengaluru Boys, Sell Outs, Socialists, Parody Music Evangelists and Entertainers who like to PUT IT are coming HOME to High Spirits for their ALBUM LAUNCH!

Live Banned is a concept. Live Banned is about entertainment. The band’s originals and medleys are popular for their humour that is sometimes intelligent and at other times atrocious. The performances are bold, flamboyant and energetic, influenced by South Indian music, Bollywood, Electronica, Dubstep, Disco, Pop, Rock and Metal. The band satirizes, restructures and twists popular music across genres and languages that appeals to everyone, from the man on the street to an audience from the corporate world.

Within a year of the band going live, they emerged as one of the most popular and entertaining acts in the country, striking a chord with the young and the old alike, with over 75 shows to their credit. Live Banned was conceptualized primarily as a live act that is also popular for the wacky sense of dressing and humour.

Live Banned was formed in the autumn of 2010 when Amrit and Dheeru decided to create a sound that was unique and entertaining by bringing in their varied musical influences and styles and exposure to Indian film music. The idea took shape when Dhruv and Siddhart joined them and after months of experimenting with various genres and jamming with new bassists, the band played its first show in June 2011. What started off as a mash-up/parody band evolved into one that gives equal importance to original material. Live Banned’s first single and music video ‘The Auto Tune’ was released in April 2012 and also won the best music video award at the Radio City Freedom Awards held in Mumbai this year, making it one of the most popular videos by an Indian band in 2012. After a few changes in the line-up since their first show, the band now has Sridhar Varadarajan and Raveesh Tirkey taking up the guitar and bass duties respectively.

So come on by and celebrate with the Bengaluru boys for their massive album launch! See you all at Home!
