Raphaelle Brochet Vocals
Raphaëlle Brochet is a unique vocalist who grew up in the world of jazz and trained in South Indian Classical music. Her innate talent for improvisation and her exceptional sense of rhythm, combined with her mastering of solkattu and Persian singing makes her one of the most astounding vocalist of the Montreal Jazz and World Music scene.
Alexey Krupsky – Guitars
Alexey Krupsky, born in Kiev/Ukraine, he studied both the violin and guitar from an early age. Studied guitar from well-known ukrainian jazz guitarist and teacher Vladimir Molotkov. Studied in a music school by the National P.I.Tchaikovsky Music Akademy, Kiev. Alexey has worked with a number musicians such as Brandon Stone, Alexey Wagner, Thibault Falk, Lulo Reinhardt, Gipsy Gentlemen Group, Roman Hrynkiv and others in countries around Europe.
Arcolris Sandoval – Piano
Known for her innovative ability to incorporate contemporary rhythmic and harmonic styles in both her playing and writing, New York-based jazz pianist, composer, and educator ArcoIris Sandoval hopes to promote environmental and social awareness through her music. Born into a musical family, ArcoIris began studying piano as a young child, giving her first recital of original compositions and Bach Preludes when she was 6 years old. At the age of 12 she orchestrated and performed an original composition with the Tucson Symphony and Tucson Pops Orchestra. By high school ArcoIris was performing regularly with professionals in the area and was the pianist for the Tucson Jazz Institutes award winning Ellington Big Band.
Steve Zerlin -Bass
Steve Z-man Zerlin is a brilliant and versatile bassist, fluent in many styles. He is accomplished as a jazz musician on both electric and acoustic bass and is well versed in Eastern modalities having adapted the bass guitar to perform nuances of Indian music. He has toured India, Europe and extensively throughout the USA and performed with many top artists including Dennis Chambers, Carl Filipiak, Jack DeJohnette, Paul McCandless, Tom Canning, Paul Bollenback, Jeff Coffin, Terrence Disley, guitarist VinnyValetino and pianist, Jessica Williams. He has also performed with pop artists, Kenny Loggins, The Coasters, The Drifters and The Platters and The Marvelettes, Steve is a mainstay of the band Facing East which also features well known Carnatic percussionists T. H. SubhashChandran on ghatam and Ganeshkumar on kanjira.
Karina Colis – Drums
Karina Colis, drummer, percussionist and vocalist from San Luis Potosi, Mexico based in New York city, is a touring artist having performed extensively in Mexico, the US, South America, Europe, Asia, and the middle East with several projects that rank from Latin, jazz, world and fusion having appeared in more than one hundred radio stations, TV programs world wide. Some of their highlight performances include international festivals and venues such as International Circuit in Bahrain, the Middle East, (Calpulli Danza Mexicana) Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, Vive Latiino the biggest festival in Latino America in Mexico City Fusion Festival in Germany, International folk Festival in Argentina,Virada Cultural in Brazil, (an open air festival with a an audience of 300,000 people) New Morning in Paris and Babel Fest in France as well as other performances in more than fifteen countries with Chicha Libre.
