Fender Presents Blues Night at Cafe Out Of The Box featuring North East Express and a Super Blues Jam

North East Express: 

Sonam Sherpa’s and Dina’s blues and rock ‘n’ roll project, doing their own renditions of Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Janis Joplin and the likes. The band consists of Dina on the vocals, Sonam Sherpa (Parikrama) on the guitars, Gaurav Balani (Parikrama) on the bass and Abhijeet Sood on the drums.

Super Blues Jam:

Super Blues Jam will feature some of the finest Blues Guitarist in the City.

Sonam Sherpa
Playing guitars since he was 9, blues harp since age 15 and the ‘effects pedal’ came only at around 21. Specializes in the Blues, Screaming riffs and some soulful slide work using a 9 volt battery(alkaline or dry), steel/brass/tin locks, broken glasses/bottles and a lot many more things BUT his prized $20 SLIDE which is, well, like that Scorpion song.. always somewhere.

Adil Manuel
One of India’s most technically proficient guitarists, Delhi-based Manuel has been playing guitar for over 18 years. He’s one half of contemporary jazz/R&B duo Adil & Vasundhara, and he’s a highly sought session player.

Milind Deora
Besides representing his constituents and helping make India a better nation, Mr. Milind Deora’s passion lies in music and the guitar. Mr. Deora was handed the guitar at the young age of 7 by his mother and was told to practice it daily. As a result, his parents imbibed in him an appreciation for the art of music and its practice. He recalls listening to a wide variety of genres including: Earth, Wind & Fire, Mohammad Rafi, Hindustani Classical, etc.

Aditya Balani
An eclectic guitarist, composer and songwriter, has worked with bands like Advaita, Aritistes Unlimited, Crimson, Think Floyd and Incognito. He has also performed with international artists like Kenwood Dennard, David Fiuczynski, Carl Clements, Dhruv Ghanekar and Shubha Mugdal. He graduated from Berklee College of Music (USA) in 2010, where he received the Berklee Achievement Scholarship and won the Kenwood Dennard artist competition.

Gaurav Balani
A bass player/composer from New Delhi,India. He has been active in the Delhi music circuit since 2005. Some of the Artists/Bands that Gaurav regularly tours with are Parikrama, Shubha Mugdal and Groove Adda.

Shubh Saran
Shubh Saran is a guitarist, composer, and producer from New Delhi, India and is currently a fourth-year Guitar Performance major at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, U.S.A. Shubh has performed at prestigious venues in a number of countries, including U.S.A., Canada, India and Bangladesh. Incorporating elements of jazz, funk, soul and blues as well as Indian classical and folk music in his performances, Shubh has played for diverse audiences in both intimate recital settings and large concert halls.
