Overdrive Trio
Overdrive Trio is a three member blues rock band with a set ranging from old school blues to a modern sound and have hard hitting renditions of blues/rock anthems.
Sunny Dsouza (Vocals/Lead guitarist) and Vaibhav Wavikar (Drums) started jamming in 2008. Vibhas Patil (Bass) joined in late that year and they immediately started playing college venues. The only fitting name to their super charged sound was Overdrive.
After playing at numerous local venues, Overdrive Trio participated in Battle of the Bands organised by SOBO central and won 1st prize among 32 competing bands. The band has never looked back since then and has become a regular feature at the blues/rock nights held at blueFROG.
The big highlight for Overdrive Trio has been playing at prestigious blues festivals such as Mahindra Blues Festival and Indigo Blues festival. Not only they have managed to capture audiences from the city but have developed a dedicated crowd of blues lovers across the country.
The Comebacks
The Comebacks are a three-piece alternative grunge rock band from Mumbai. They started out as ‘The Comebacks’ in December ’09 when they played their first gig at NMIMS college. Then a very memorable performance at Ruia College where they got through to the finals. They’ve been doing a lot of shows in and around town.
They love grunge and punk with a bit of blues thrown in for good measure.
