Prashanth Pallemoni is India’s best kept Djing secret.
He’s particulary known to explore the deep end of various underground genres & styles at his performances. He’s one of the few DJ’s who can be successfully transfixed onto any stage ensemble, be it as a Turntablist performing with musicians or as a Club DJ. The experience is nothing less than an eclectic blend of spontaneous creativity and an evident experience of 13 years on the Music Scene.
A multi talented ‘Quircussionist’ who spent 4 years in Manchester, UK, studying Audio Engineering at SSR (School of Sound Recording), Djing in Clubs and learnt the art of Scratching while performing with the best of Manchester’s Jazz Musicians.
He has worked and is very strongly associated with Mancunian based soul/brazilian/deep-house label Rainy City Music. His debut Co-Production and international collaborations with the Rainy City Music owner, Irfan and Paris based Multi-Instrumentalist Carlos Nascimento was released by Underground music labels in Chicago and London in 2006.
He has played at some of the coolest parties such as Space Ibiza shack party in Sri Lanka, One Central Street, Jabezz Clegg, Paparazzi & Mint Lounge in Manchester, PutiKlub in Berlin, Opening Act for the Hikkaduwa Beach Festival in Sri Lanka to name a few. As a Turntablist, He’s shared a stage with well known musicians like Adrian D’Souza, Floyd Fernandes, Myke Wilson, Etienne Mbappe, Sivamani & Visalakshi Nityanand to name a few.
His particular interest in Afro-Beat and all African folk influenced music is definitely noteworthy. His range and repertoire of music vary between Disco, Funk, Soul, Hip-hop, Broken Beat, Nu Jazz & Afrobeat in small scale intimate performance spaces to Soulful, Deep, Jackin, Tech & Techno sounds in a Big Room club spaces.
He is currently based in Bangalore and is a strong supporter of the underground music scene in the city and around the country. He’s also part of an experimental/
