Samanvay – A Unique Jugalbandi concert at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Mumbai

A jugalbandi is an Indian music performance that features a duet of solo musicians. In jugalbandi, both musicians compliment each other’s musical prowess, commonly known as sawaal-jawaab. Samanvay means the coming together of different schools of thought pertaining to a specific subject. This concert is an effort to bring gaayaki and taankari together to create an effective blend of different styles of music. It will feature a jugalbandi between vocalist Jayateerth Mevundi and flautist Rakesh Chaurasia, the present youth icons of Hindustani classical music.
