Taking the stage with Sharik Hasan are Philippe Lemm on drums and Marco Zenini on bass. Each one, an accomplished musician, with numerous awards to their names, this ensemble comprises artistes who are among the most sought-after on the international jazz scene.

Sharik Hasan is one of the leading pianists and composers of his generation to emerge from India. He has spent several years studying jazz and classical music in France and the USA. He has performed at venues all over the world including the Blue Note (New York), Panama Jazz Festival, Nancy Jazz Festival (France), Lincoln Centre (New York) and has shared the stage with luminaries such as John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, Wayne Shorter, Terri Lyne Carrington, Adam Nussbaum, Ralph Peterson, and David Liebman among others.

Marco Zenini is an Italian bass player, born in Rome and now based in Amsterdam. His musical journey began when he was 16 years old, playing the bass with some rock, punk and nu metal bands. He has performed at several major venues and festivals in The Netherlands (Bimhuis, Northsea Jazz Club, Cafe Alto, Amsterdam Jazz Fest, Middelburg Jazz Festival, Meerjazz) and in Italy (Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival, La casa del jazz, Jazz by the pool). He has also traveled and played extensively in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Latvia, Lithuania (Vilnius Jazz Festival), Turkey (Akbank Sanat – Istanbul) and South Africa (Mahogany Room – Cape Town).

Philippe Lemm was born in Amsterdam where he attended the conservatory and received a Bachelor’s degree in Music. He performed at internationally known festivals and stages such as: North Sea Jazz Festival, Kennedy Centre (DC) Bimhuis, Concertgebouw and Carnegie Hall.
