The next edition of Sunday Jam, Bengalurus monthly edition of contemporary music performances in its 18th year now, will highlight Rock in Kannada on the occasion of Rajyotsava with a special program entitled, CANA-ROCK. While musicians and bands of different styles will participate as is the norm in the Sunday Jams, at this Sundays event the primetime between 6 to 8pm will highlight rock music with songs sung in Kannada.

KIRAN PROJECT
SARVASVA is a Kannada rock band led by the powerhouse performer and seasoned Sandalwood playback singer Sangeetha Rajeev, well known for the Thinnabeda Kammi hit song from Lucia movie. She is ably backed by keyboardist Sagar Gururaj associated with one of the citys leading metal bands, Verses.
The band has to their credit over 200 public performances all over India and United Kingdom. Some of them are: Mysooru Yuva Dasara, Suvarna TV, International Food Festival, Indian Army, College festivals, corporate events, mall events, for CDD international society among others.
Their debut album has been released by Times Music label recently; it was launched at the Mysooru Dusara by ace percussionist Sivamani and flautist Praveen Godkhindi.
Sarvasa hopes to reach out to the youth and popularise Kannada language globally through the medium of rock music.
KIRAN PROJECT is a coming together of several proficient musicians of diverse styles, each of them contributing to bring out a refreshing new genre of Kannada rock. Kiran Ravindranath despite his young age is a veteran composer and vocalist of myriad jingles & background scores best known as the music director of the superhit movie, House Full. He also has world music albums to his credit and is now busy composing for Aghora, Shweta, TubeLight, etc.
Ace percusssionist, singer-songwriter, Venkatesh DC is also an accomplished music therapist certified to heal the body as well as soothe the soul. He has performed at major music festivals and conducted master classes & spiritual retreats extensively in India, Europe and the Middle East. Jazzrocker, young Jason dSouza and major Grateful Dead connoisseur Harish Chouthoy are the two guitarists, lead and bass respectively.
Project K brings a new dimension to Kannada contemporary popular music with a heady infusion of rock elements.
