Swing & Bebop jazz concert promises to be very exciting. Its a first attempt to feature this genre of jazz. The artists performing are Benny Soans (drums), Carl Clements (tenor sax), Woody (alto sax), Hideaki Tokunaga (guitar) and D Wood (bass) and Jarry Singla (piano).
Swing is the music which inspired the jive dance and dominated the realm of popular music for decades. Foot tapping and finger snapping are assured by products of swing!
Bebop is very challenging to perform as it eggs the soloists to improvise on up tempo themes.
Created by the genius of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, bebop, or bop requires a high level of skill and virtuosity from the performers, thus rewarding for the audience. The sextet consists of highly skilled and accomplished jazz musicians and this unique concert promises to be a treat for all music lovers.
