First things first, it’s not the vegetable. After pondering over some of the most idiosyncratic names ever known to mankind, the band settled on one of them anyway. That said, The Beatroute is a result of some clever thinking and quirky wordplay. The plan was never to be too profound with the name, but these things happen. Formed in November 2010, The Beatroute is a five member band based in Mumbai with all its members spread across the gigantic city.

The Beatroute is an Alternative Groove Rock Band and started off by playing covers ranging from U2, Incubus, to Maroon5, Jack Johnson, Alien ant Farm. Apart from covers, it has also started composing and playing original music and will be releasing it soon!
