The 28-year-old singer/songwriter has been making music since he was 19. After fronting  prog rock outfit SummerPint jUNkie for five years, Athreya called it a day and took to writing simple, acoustic melodies. Athreya’s songwriting has a distinctive riff along which the entire song revolves. Some songs are note heavy while others are chord heavy. All of Athreya’s compositions are available on his Sound Cloud page for free. He cites  John Butler, Animals as Leaders and from Mr. Suicide Sheep’s YouTube channel as his influences.
