Guitarist and singer Ananth Menon and harmonica player Vasudev Prabhu (Bangalore’s acoustic duo By2 Blues), collaborate with bass guitarist Matthew Harris and drummer Deepak Raghu to present an evening with Hoodoo Gas, an evening of blues and rock ‘n’ roll favourites. All four of these musicians are very well known by their independent projects and bands. This collaboration is to celebrate their love for the Blues and Rock n Roll!
The audience can expect to hear music from bands like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Credence Clearwater Revival.
The opening act is by singer/songwriter Mahesh Raghunandan, who is a gifted, young independent musician from Bangalore. He makes his BFlat debut with a John Mayer-esque taste for songwriting and music and a very natural and appealing vocal style.
In the realm of acoustic folk, soul and a hint of blues, his music is influenced by artists ranging from Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder to John Mayer, Jason Mraz and James Morrison. His debut EP was released in January 2013 on iTunes,OK Listen! and other major digital distribution channels.
