Fazal Qureshi – TABLA
Hailing from a background that reverberates with the Taal of the Tabla, music has been Fazal Qureshi’s natural inheritance.Under the guidance of his Guru and father, the late great Tabla maestro, Ustad Alla Rakha, and with the inspiration drawn from his brother, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Fazal has developed a unique style that is distinguished for its fine sense of rhythm, versatility and eloquence.He performs both as a soloist and as an accompanist. His deep rooted knowledge and dedication to Indian classical music helps him accompany North as well as South Indian instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers. Fazal has expanded his horizons by being involved with other styles of music of the world especially Jazz
and Western classical music, and has performed with many noted musicians. For the last 16 years he has been associated with Mynta, his world music band based in
Sweden. They have performed all over the world and have released six immensely popular albums.Besides being a performer he has also composed music for Mynta and for various
other events. He has now started composing music for Indian films and is currently working on an album of his own compositions, thus adding to his versatility as a musician. Fazal is emerging as a name whose reputation is not just sustained by his strong family lineage, but on personal achievements as well.

Andres Hagberg – SAXOPHONE
Anders background is in jazz and over the years He has been influenced by music from many other cultures and genres and He has had long time collaborations with Indian & Japanese musicians. Anders has toured worldwide the groups such as Mynta, Yggdrasil and New Jungle Orchestra as well as his own projects Winduo and Earthsongs. His
own solo CD’s, which uses traditional Nordic sounds as a point of departure for improvisations were both nominated for Grammies. Anders has played on a great number of records and been commissioned to compose music for a number of films and dance performances. He is also a Senior Lecturer in improvisation at the Academy of Music and Drama, Gothenburgh University.

Ahmad Al-Khatib – OUD
Following in the Footsteps of the great virtuosos, Mohie Eddin Haidar, Jamil Bashir and Munir Bashir, Ahmad Al-Khatib is a rising star as an Oud Soloist, specialising in the modern Iraqi school of Oud performance. Ahmad started to play Oud at an early age, and later studied music and cello playing Al-Yarmouk University in Jordan where he graduated with honors in 1997.He was instrumental in developing the Oriental Music Department at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (ESNCM), later heading it until August 2002, when he was forced to leave Palestine. Ahmad continues to work for the ESNCM, liaising between Palestine and other music conservatories in the Arab world.
At present, he lives in Sweden, where is performing recitals and undertaking a masters in Ethnomusicology at the University of Gothenburg. Ahmad realised his first solo CD, Sada, in 2004.

Sabir Khan -SARANGI
Sabir khan was born in Jodhpur Rajasthan. Belongs to a Sikar Gharana of music who has given several stalwarts to Indian classical music. He is the ninth generation to take up
Sarangi. His great grandfather Ustad Azim Khan shaab was a court musician at Sikar Rajasthan.Sabir khan was exposed to music when he was six year old through his grandfather Ustad Gulab khan shaab who was a great sarangi player and vocalist of his time and after that his taking training from his father world renowned sarangi player and vocalist Padma Bhushan Ustad Sultan Khan shaab and from his late uncle Ustad Nasir khan shaab .Sabir khan is well known today for his delicate mastery of sarangi.His technique of playing is rare combination of sur and laya (note and rhythm). Sabir Khan already remarkably imbibed almost his great father’s entire repertoire with a similar command and mastery on the sarangi. Indeed a chip of the old block. Sabir khan now a days sharing stage with his father in each and every concert and also performing solo. He have honored to perform with artist like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt.Kumar Bose,Pt. Anindo Chatterjee Ranjit Barot,Sivamani, Shri Fazal Qureshi and Australian beat boxer Dub Fx,French artist Mathias Duplessy etc. Beside a classical music artist his equally into light music played with artist like ghazal maestro Ustad Gulam Ali, Talat Aziz, Asha bhosle and recently played in the album of great Lata Mangeshkar.

Varun Sunil – PERCUSSION
Varun Sunil is a Multi percussionist and a music producer who is based out of Mumbai. He has performed all around the world with Ustad Fazal Qureshi, Vikku Vinayakram, Ranjit Barot, Hariharan, Shankar Tucker and many more artists. He currently started his new band called “Masala Coffee” and is working on his band album.
