Frame/Frame
Frame/Frame a.k.a Nikhil Kaul can’t be described as the usual sound or noise. It’s a territory. It’s a scene in a movie. It’s an environment he creates. An architect of moods and spaces. He brings a fresh innovation to the sound, combining a kaleidoscopic arsenal of the smooth, crunchy, melodic, synthy, dirty and raw; channelling hip-hop, D&B and bass music sensibilities into a pedigree all of his own.
Recently, Frame/Frame has opened for American glitch-hop heavyweight Michal Menert, played at India Fashion Week and played alongside forward thinking local artists such as Dualist Inquiry, Teddy Boy Kill, Sulk Station and Madboy/Mink.
Donn Bhat
Donn Bhat is a Music Producer/Songwriter/Guitar player based out of Mumbai. He wrote/produced/played for the bands Friday the13th and Orange Street both of which won the Great Indian Rock (GIR) competition in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
After an extensive tour of Europe with Orange Street, Donn wrote/produced his first solo album “One Way Circle” in 2006 from his bedroom studio in Delhi. The album received a huge response and has seen a positive reaction from reputed stalwarts in the independent music scene of India .
Two songs were featured on the Sahi Bol compilation. The ongoing buzz about the album at the time led Donn to be featured as the BBC Artist of the month on the Bobby Friction show in March 2011. More recently three of his Album tracks got featured on the MTV series “Bring On the Night” in 2012.
He is currently recording his second solo album called Passenger Revelator apart from his regular composing work in music for Film & Advertising in Mumbai. He performs live with his band Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator.
Mode.AKA.
Musician/producer Sandeep Madhavan aka Low End Latif and producer Manas Ullas aka Rock Bottom Reddy make up the shape-shifting phenomenon that is Mode.AKA.
On their upcoming debut EP, the duo successfully blend melody and rage, while keeping their beats churning, the mood cinematic and the bass thunderous.
