The Upper Basment at Hard Rock Cafe, Hyderabad

The Upper Basement began when five musicians from very diverse musical backgrounds met beyond their hours of work just to let the music within bring a change of mood. Nikhil Dev, Samuel Joseph, Umakanto Dutta, Nirmal Samuel and Ferdinand D’Souza met up every day after work making music in ‘The Upper Basement’ of their office building. The genre of the band is still left hanging in the balance. Every song lets out a certain sense of maturity in music. From a string of metaphors in the lyrics to the fast paced leads in solos, everything that this group of musicians do is the real feeling.

The Upper Basement is what you get when you mix musicians with influences ranging from Blues to Metal giving you a sound that’s bound to get you on your feet and have your head bopping to Rock ‘n’ Roll
