The Vinay Kaushal Collective is a Blues – Jazz band based in Pune, India. It is a five member collective of serious music professionals, intended on peering into the depths of hardcore blues and jazz. The members individually have a couple of hundred gigs to their credit and have been performing for about a decade. The band started off in early as the brain child of Vinay Kaushal, a graduate of the prestigious Musicians Institute, Hollywood. Musicians Institute is home to GIT, arguably the best guitar school in the world. A typical blues set by the band consists of covers of artists such as Freddie King, BB King, Eric Clapton,Joe Bonamassa, SRV, Hendrix, etc. Needless to say, every cover played is the bands own interpretation of each song. The set is mixed with a dozen odd original blues numbers- highly upbeat, ecstatic songs

with ear teasing solos. The band also plays jazz sets, or combine the two together. With their love for jazz and funk, the set consists of songs by artists such as John Scofield, The Meters, Dave Brubeck, Larry Carlton, Miles Davis,etc.
