Un Argentin a Paris feat. Christine Chareyron at Alliance Francaise de Bangalore

Christine Chareyron (pianist) studied piano at the Conservatoire National in Grenoble and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. Her higher training took place under the tutelage of Jean Fassina. She is equally enthusiastic about theatre which she studied in Chambéry and then in
Grenoble.She is currently a piano professor at the conservatoire de Suresnes.
About the composer: Born in Mar del Plata in 1921, Astor Piazzolla, pianist and bandoneonist practiced popular music from his native country Argentina. He was irresistibly attracted by composition and hence went to Paris to study with Nadia Boulanger who persuaded him to create his own musical language.
Known throughout the world today, Piazzolla passed away in 1922.
