Started in September 2011, VRAVI – GUITAR FUSION was an idea whose time had come. The solo project is an honest attempt at extracting a completely pure and traditional sound out of the guitar while making it the protagonist of the act.
The Vravi Guitar Fusion Project allows Ravi to fuse elements of various genres with Indian classical compositions. This project also allows him to collaborate with musicians from different countries. The music is based mainly on hindustani and carnatic classical ragas and blended beautifully with western music (rock and jazz). The sound is Indian yet reaches out to an international audience.
