Daira at High Spirits, Pune

Some time at the end of 2014, DAIRA was born in a small jam-room in Malad, Mumbai. She had six feathers.

Drummer Pratik Kulgod, who’s played with bands like Chudail and Demons, Vizia, Vajra, Set in Stone, Treblesome Sessions, Black in Blue etc.

Bassist and Composer Govind Gawli, who’s played with What’s in a name?, Life, and a range of Bollywood artists.

Keyboardist, sound engineer, singer,producer and composer Johaan John Thekkan who has worked on films like Titoo MBA and collaborated with the likes of Arijit Singh, Neeri Mohan, Richa Sharma, Shibani Kashyap, Sunidhi Chauhan and Leslie Louis.

Rhythm Guitarist & singer/composer Vikalp Sharma, who started Bathroom Singers Karaoke, and has played for Natural Volume, Score, and Life.

Lead guitarist and prodigy Chaitanya Bhaidkar, who was declared too young for a band event that he’d won already at the age of 17.

Piyush Kapoor, who’s a vocalist, guitarist and composer. He was one of the top 5 contestants of X Factor India, and also the vocalist for mammoth South Indian band Thaikkudam Bridge. He’s worked with the likes of Sonu Nigam and Pritam, and is the visionary behind Daira.

From playing across the country, they’re finally coming to Pune to grace us on the High Spirits stage under the trees this beautiful summer evening. Time for that perfect midweek break, everyone! See you at Home!
