Ikarushka & Ancient Science – an evening of World music that spans traditional folk music across continenents. Come and hear a collaborative effort spanning musicians from Russia, Iran, Persia and India who’ve come together to create a sound – the likes of which you haven’t heard before. The charming sounds of live ethnic instruments layered with deep bass vibrations are pierced by traditional Russian singing, accompanied by live drums and eclectic, advanced electronic beats – The hypnotic and euphoric sound of the Moorchunga complemented by ancient, indigenous instruments like the Sullur of the Gond Tribe, Singing Frogs of the Akha Tribe, Kalimbas originally from Africa and other nearly extinct instruments of tribal magic being played Live and Western contemporary instruments like the guitar and drums. All these sounds are played live, along with electronic samples and sounds. The band members play the following instruments:
