Aakash Mittal is hailed as A fiery alto saxophonist and prolific composer by the Star Tribune (Minneapolis), Indian origin saxophonist Aakash Mittal comes to India on a fellowship and India tour. This is his first performance in Bangalore.
He will perform with Jayanthi Bunyan (Vocal, USA) and the finest selection of independent musicians – Nishad Pandey (Guitar, Australia), Mainak “Bumpy” Nag Chowdhury (Bass, India) and Gaurab Chaterjee (Drums, India).
As a composer and improviser, Mittal employs colorful dissonances, meditative silences, and angular rhythms to express environments and spaces ranging from the American west to the dense streets of Kolkata.
