Goa born Milind Raikar was initiated into Hindustani Classical Music by his father. He studied violin under the guidance of Prof. A.P De Costa, Pt. B.S. Math and Pt. Vasantrao Kanekar. He is the first Indian violinist to receive a fellowship from Civitella Italy.
Milind Raikar, launches and performs his new album, which is a tribute to his Guru Gaansaraswati Padmavibhushan Smt. Kishoritai Amonkar at Ravindra Natya Mandir. The launch will be held in the August presence of Padmavibhushan Gaansaraswati Kishori Amonkar and Padmashree Pandit D.K.Datar.
