Naezy, Enkore & DJ Proof at Bonobo, Mumbai

Naezy aka Naved Shaikh is an emerging rap artist from Mumbai. His works include ‘Bombay 70’, a short film based on his life that won the Best Short Film in the Mumbai Dimensions section of the Mumbai Film Festival 2014. He has also been featured on ‘Mere Gully Mein’ with Divine.

Enkore is, quite simply, one of the best few artists that are an active part of the underground music and hip-hop revolution that is slowly but steadily taking over India. Using music mainly as a form of expression and as an instrument to affect lives for the better, he firmly believes in speaking the truth and expressing oneself, however bitter or sweet it may be. Yet at the same time he strives to uplift moods of people as well as people themselves. Generally having an informed opinion on social issues and current affairs, he does tend to talk about them every now and then.
