Deepak Castelino (Guitar, banjo)

Deepak is an accomplished guitarist and banjo player who has been performing on stage for over thirty-five years.  Essentially trained in the western tradition, Deepak has scored, and recorded music for English and Hindi films (“Electric Moon,” “In Which Annie gives It Those Ones,””Khamosh Paani,””Milk and Opium,””I Am Kalaam”), theatre and television commercials.  He has participated in international music residencies and performed on stage for over 21 years with renowned Sufi music exponent and academician Dr. Madan Gopal Singh in Pakistan (2001 and 2006), Switzerland (2004), Italy (2005), Frankfurt (2006), Brussels (2006),  Nepal (2010) and England (2011).  In October 2011, Deepak performed on stage with Dr. Madan Gopal Singh in Bordeaux, France and Sydney, Australia, in addition to concerts in Islamabad, Pakistan and at the International Sufi Music Festival in Ajmer, Rajasthan. In 2014, Deepak performed with Dr. Madan Gopal Singh at the “Ruhaniyat” Sufi music Festival in Istanbul, Turkey. As an active performing artist for Spic-Macay (Society for the Promotion of Indian Culture, Music and Art among Youth), Deepak has performed and given lecture-demonstrations for diverse and varied audiences in venues all around the country.

Pritam Ghosal (sarod)

Pritam is one of India’s finest classical sarod players who has regaled his audiences extensively in India and abroad.  A student of Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan, Pritam’s mastery of the instrument and high level of maturity in his craft has elicited effusive praise.  Pritam has performed with Dr. Madan Gopal Singh extensively and is actively involved with several other performing artists’ and ensembles too.  With Dr. Singh, he has participated in international music residencies and performed on stage in Pakistan (2001), Switzerland (2004), Italy (2005), Frankfurt (2006), Brussels (2006), Nepal (2010), England (2011), France (2011) and Australia (2011).  In 2013, Pritam toured South Africa and gave astounding performances on the sarod in Cape Town and Durban.  In 2014, Pritam performed with Dr. Madan Gopal Singh at the “Ruhaniyat” Sufi music Festival in Istanbul, Turkey. An active performing artist for Spic-Macay, Pritam has performed extensively in India giving lectures and demonstrations of the sarod to students and general audiences around the country.
