POP GOES PUNK TOUR with two of India’s hottest power pop / dance punk bands performing together!

Featuring BLEK and THE VINYL RECORDS

The Vinyl Records (aka TVR), is a four piece all- girl band based in New Delhi that came together in Feb 2010. The band was formed by Banu, Minam and Mithy who all hail from Arunachal Pradesh and found its complete identity when their present vocalist and keytarist Cheyyrian Bark joined from Assam in Jan 2011. Taking cues from musical inspirations such as CSS, The Clash, The Strokes and the B-52’s TVR love to put on a show! TVR describe their sound as indie, post punk and the sound from new wave eras of 70s and 80s when analogue and early digital sound was popular with fusion of indie and post punk with a dash of glam rock kitsch with the keytar!

Blek is the Mumbai based indie-alternative trio of Jared Creado, Rishi Bradoo, and Varoon Aiyer. They like chai, Bill Murray movies, and songs with strange names. Blek is a 3-member power pop band from Mumbai, India comprising of Rishi Bradoo (Guitar/Vocals), Jared Juan Creado (Bass/Vocals) and Varoon Aiyer (Drums) formed in 2011.

The band broke on to the Indian indie circuit as one of the 5 winners of the Ray-Ban Never Hide Sounds, a nationwide talent hunt for best emerging Indian artists in 2011. The band released their debut EP “Hexes + Drama & Other Reasons for Evacuation” as a free download on 14th February 2012 and has since been one of the most buzzing acts on the Indian indie music circuit. Backed with super reviews for the EP from all quarters, Blek gigged extensively covering most of the country.
