Featuring acts like Bollywood music director Himesh Reshamiya, Delhi fusion band Indian Ocean, Bangalore’s favourite The Raghu Dixit Project, “Dhoom Pichak Dhoom” makers Euphoria, rock band Parikrama, DJ Ankyytrixx, Mumbai gully rapper Naezy and more, Pune Music Festival will have two stages and over two days, will make you witness some unforgettable performances.
Indian Ocean
Indian Ocean is an Indian rock band formed in New Delhi in 1990, widely recognized as the pioneers of the fusion rock genre in India. Susmit Sen, Asheem Chakravarty, Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam were band members till Chakravarty’s death on 25 December 2009, after which Tuheen Chakravorty and Himanshu Joshi were officially inducted into the band as replacements.
The Raghu Dixit Project
From the Queen of England to the Glastonbury festival, these guys have played around the world. Bangalore fusion band The Raghu Dixit Project plays contemporary folk music paired with breathtaking stage performances.
Euphoria
Euphoria is an Indian rock band from the city of Delhi, India. Euphoria was put together by Dr. Palash Sen and his friends in New Delhi in 1988. The band released their fifth studio album Item in 2011 on Universal Music India.
Parikrama
One of the first independent bands to emerge out of Delhi, no one does classic rock as good as these guys. Must hear song of theirs- But it Rained.
Lost Stories
Lost Stories began their journey in 2009 and immediately rose to prominence when their single False Promises, which was released on Tiëstos Black Hole Recordings. There tracks have been featured on Armin Van Buurens ASOT shows.
Naezy
Naezy aka Naved Shaikh is the torchbearer of the Indian hip-hop. The MC – who rhymes in Hindi and Marathi – hails from an orthodox Muslim family, Naezy chanced upon hip-hop when he heard Sean Paul’s ‘Temperature’ playing at a wedding in his society – and started rehearsing and copying the styles of artists such as Lil Wayne, Sean Paul, and more.
Ritviz
Poona boy Ritviz Srivastava is only 19-years-old and is already making beats that are crisp and super fresh, making him a top-tier DJ and producer (And an Insider favourite). His tracks like Mukti remind you of bass producers like Nucleya and Dub Sharma and definitely express love for the motherland. His set is an absolute experience and must not be missed.
Himesh Reshammiya
Music director, singer and actor, Himesh Reshammiya has been in the industry for more than 25 years and given us hits like “Aashiq Banaya Aapne”, “Tera Suroor”, “Zara Jhoom Jhoom”, “Jhalak Dikhlaja”, “Shakalaka Boom Boom”, “Hookah Bar” and “Chalao Na Naina Se.” With his unique brand of music, he is definitely a crowd favourite.
Ankytrixx
Representing homegrown talent, Mumbais deep house and techno producer and DJ Ankit Kocher has been riding the wave of electronic music in India for the last two years. An indie favourite, we are definitely looking forward to his set.
Agnee
Agnee is known for its deeply-rooted Indian sound, hummable tunes and live wire performances, and has released a series of super hits including Sadho Re, Kabira, the Splitsvilla theme song and the Roadies theme song.
