REFUGE is an instrumental ensemble that plays thematic music drawing on jazz, classical and folk traditions from around the world. Composed and arranged over the last ten years by pianist Aman Mahajan, the most interesting and unusual aspect of the music being that it is equal parts structured and improvised – it is a set of exploratory themes from a journey with unity at its focus.
