THE BLUES TASK FORCE BAND:
Formed in early by international ‘sessions’ guitar player and composer, Rahula Chatz (aka: Rahul Chatterji), to promote ‘authentic’ Blues and Blues based music – Not the commercial hype. Music from the gut, Heart and keeping it ‘real’.
The sets are performed live, with a mix of originals and standards (performed our way), with influences of Blues (naturally!), Funk, Reggae, Caribbean flavours etc.
Rahula was ‘heavily influenced’ by Jimi Hendrix’s work…and explores this in the com positional nature of the music. A task at hand is to postulate where Jimi Hendrix might have taken the music had he lived a fuller life…post “The Band of Gypsys”.
Well, seriously a Task attempted with sincerity and love!
