The Obed Zeme Project at Bandstand, Delhi

Obed Zeme has been a prominent fixture on the North India music scene for well over two decades, having started with piano and guitars at the fledgling age of 8, and has amassed a sizeable body of work along the way. He recorded his first album when he was 12.

Throughout his musical journey, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, performing extensively on music festivals, radio, and television. He also has a plethora of commercial work under his belt, having worked on campaigns for Samsung, Hyundai and the like. Guitar player, composer, arranger, producer, and teacher – he wears these and many more hats with ease and aplomb.

The ObedZeme Project is a 6-piece outfit, culling members from diverse walks of life and musical influences – everything from rock, blues-rock to gospel, soul and funk. The outfit tips a collective hat to greats like Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Bob Marley, and their Originals mostly. Songs talk about life experiences and journeys and touch upon topics such as peace, love, faithfulness, transformation, jubilation, divine connections, relationships, and curiosity.
