UNOHU & Skylight Vision at Blue Frog, Mumbai

Skylight Vision is a six piece band which was initiated by Aniket, Bhushan and Gaurav in late 2013. Aniket had composed a couple of songs few years back as a creative outlet and when realized the potential, started “Skylight Vision” with the help of Gaurav, Bhushan.

It is really difficult to categorize the type of music Skylight Vision plays as all the members have diverse influences and Skylight Vision is that common space where all the influences combine which enables us to achieve an unique sound that generally doesn’t fall under any particular Genre. However, it is really hard for people to comprehend or digest the concept of “Genre-free” band which makes it even harder to promote. So we have tagged ourselves as a Progressive Pop rock band.

They have released their debut EP in September 2014 digitally on Oklisten and iTunes and have launched it physically in October 2014.

In November, they won in Pop genre from all over India for ‘ MTV RAYBAN NEVER HIDE SOUNDS 2014 SERIES. ‘ For this, their mentors were Shaa’ir + Func (Monica Dogra & Randolph Correia).

Shaa’ir + Func  mentored and collaborated with the band on one of their songs from the EP ‘ Notional Freedom ‘ as a part of this series. They have performed along withShaa’ir + Func at The Leather Bar in Chennai and Hard Rock Cafe, Worli for the finale act of this series.

By the end of year 2014, Band has already gained a good amount of listeners through their music and band’s motto is to convey emotions through the songs to a wider audience.

A progressive pop rock band which believes in creating something different and making it sure that people will trip on it with their distinctly spacey, synth-laden sound.

UNOHU (You Know Who) is a three piece Alt Rock band from Mumbai. Members are Yohann Coutiho (bass guitar), Shashwat Karkare (drums,vocals and keys) and Sarthak Karkare (vocals and guitar). They started out a year and a half ago and are still largely experimental and don’t exclusively play any one genre.

They have played at Thespo, High Spirits (Pune), blueFROG (The Scene v5, Double Bill Nights, Converse Road to Rubber Tracks Regional Rounds), D’Bell, High Spirits, Ctrl Alt Del, Kino 108, High Street Phoenix, Hard Rock Café (Bangalore and Mumbai), No Cover Charge video (covered Swarathma) and at Ragasthan, at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender Pune 2014 and have featured on Vh1 Music diaries. They recently released a music video for our single ‘Parachute’ and launched our debut EP ‘Asunder’as well. We were also part of the last edition of Puma Loves Vinyl- Sound of 2014.
