Purbayan Chatterjee with Taufiq Qureshi and Manuel Hermia at Blue Frog, Mumbai

Share

blueFROG has always set the standard in pushing the cause of live independent music in India from the time it opened its doors in 2007.

In keeping with its ethos blueFrog is now launching a campaign called ‘Live Music Live’.

The idea behind Live Music Live is:
To showcase the versatility of Indian Classical Music and its ability to blend with different styles of music from within India and anywhere in the world.

To bring together Indian classical musicians and musicians from other Indian and International genres on a great platform like blueFROG to experiment and create new sounds.

To provide upcoming Indian contemporary acts a rare chance to share the stage with such established musicians and acts and learn from this exchange.

To give mainstream music listeners a feel of the range of versatility and adaptability classical music has outside of its traditional boundaries.

The first show of the Live Music Live campaign is being curated by Purbayan Chatterjee and has the renowned Ustad Taufiq Qureshi who along with Purbayan and Belgian Saxaphonist Manuel Hermia will take the stage and create rhythmic magic.

The beauty of such a property is that there’s something in it for everyone from the musicians to the listeners.
