Border Movement Lounge ft. TMPST (Karachi) & Else If (Delhi) at Goethe Institut, Delhi

Share
Border Movement Lounge – a Goethe-Institut funded platform that showcases established and upcoming artists and producers from across South Asia —launches its third edition with a gig in New Delhi featuring the highly talked-about Karachi-based producer TMPST.The lounge is an informal event format that hopes to foster a more open and interactive culture of electronic music performance, as well as a more well-rounded appreciation from the local music community. Each edition of Border Movement Lounge focuses on a different area of the region, partnering acts with local talent.

TPMST

The electronic music project musician Asfandyar Khan, TPMST is known for his meandering basslines set amidst a lush yet ambient space. Flirting with genres like bass and 2-step garage and rooting those sounds in an ambient setting, and a fan of legendary ambient innovators like Brian Eno and notable producers like Eluvium, Keith Fullerton Whitman among others, TMPST music is yet another example of the exciting and experimental music that comes out of Pakistan.
TMPST’s set for the Border Movement Lounge will reflect the dynamism and individuality of the Pakistani electronic music scene.Else If

A genre-free act from New Delhi, Else If is made up of G “Force” Arjun & Puneesh Suri. Their music is inspired by sounds around them, live instruments and technology, and is a combination of odd time signatures and rhythms, layered natural and unnatural soundscapes over grooves that seem to possess a mind of their own.
