The International Jazz Live Festival (IJLF), the first of a series of social and cultural festivals in Goa, has been planned this month as part of Live Festivals – an initiative of Art Escape – The Live Music Project. IJLF will be a yearly event featuring young and upcoming international and Indian jazz acts as well as some legends from the genre. The festival is scheduled for November 30th and December 1st at the Baywatch Resort, Goa. Here’s the complete festival schedule:
Day 1 (30th November, Saturday 6:30pm onwards)

The festival will close with a felicitation of Legends of Jazz (Unsung Heroes of Jazz) from India.

Countrysilk, a country & western band, opens the Great Music Revival Concert series -2014 at Goa Chitra on the 16th of November .
Countrysilk, a country & western band, is not an everyday performance but one that originated from a particularly popular form of musical demand amongst the people. This five-piece band creates its sound from strong influences of musical ancestries and professional training. Taking Mumbai by storm the Country Silk has since been staging their act through the country and recently in Dubai.
Their repertoire in country music includes songs from the great Honkie Tonkies, across classics and contemporary that include Hank Williams, Glen Campbell, Dolly Parton, The Eagles, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Lynn Anderson, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Elvis Presley, The Dixie Chicks, Buck Owens, Kenny Rogers, etc
The band comprises of Brynelle DSilva on the vocals, Desmond Taylor on bass and vocals, Amon Daniels on lead guitar and backing vocals, Schubert Vaz on keyboards and backing vocals and Ivan Cardoza on Drums

Goa Tourism will observe World Tourism Day on September 27 by creating awareness on water conservation. The two day event will be held at Inox court yard, Campal Panjim and will have live performance by celebrity Goan Remo Fernandes. Also Indiva – an all women fusion band from Mumbai, Johnny Be Good, Varun Carvalho and Talking Drums will perform during the two day event.

Back ground of King Jassim:
King Jassim is an Indian dancehall singer/songwriter/MC. He is now looking to bust out of his current home Bangalore onto the entertainment world stage, a platform he first stepped onto back in 2006 with a commitment to uplift the reggae, dancehall and hip hop music thru his own music & his DJin with his bandmates.
He is also a founder member of Indias leading raggae hip-hop group Low Rhyderz who are releasing debut album OUTTA NOWHERE this year.
He has hooked up with Jamaican producers APS Colombian Records and they remixed and released the single African Daughter which made its way into Jamaican Radio in latter part of 2010. Back in India he got an invitation from Donisha Prendergast (granddaughter of legendary singer Bob Marley), to link up during shooting of her documentary movie Rasta which will release later this year.
