A group of musicians formed Sonic Sanity in with the sole purpose of sharing their music and creating something special with their musical skills. Over time, the band evolved and has set itself apart by becoming a cover rock act with their own style and sensibility. Their sets range from glam rock to alternative to rockability, each song shaken and floated with their own unique spin.
Although the current line-up is relatively new, the maturity and experience of all members characterizes the heart and soul of the band. All the musicians have a keen sense of the art owing to experience of playing for several years among established artists. It is each individuals passion and knowledge that translate to Sonic Sanitys unique sound and stage presence.

The Upper Basement is a musical kaleidoscope due to the musical inclinations of all 5 members making it a completely new genre (Alternative rock) all together. The band has been playing for two years at a number of venues in Hyderabad including the Hard Rock Cafe too. As a band we have evolved musically. Eka is the winner of the Best Group award at ArtistAloud Awards 2 years in a row (i.e. 2011-12 & ) and is doing a lot of College Fests/Music Festivals/Literature festivals/Corporate Events/Private Social Events and Music Production work currently. Eka is also amongst the top 4 finalist for the EC LIVE Quotient Awards 2012 in the ‘Best Band’ category. Their typical performance duration is about 2.5-3 hours wherein the focus of our performance is completing on delivering high energy entertainment.
