Dayglocrazie at The Humming Tree

Share

To continue evolving the culture of cross-city artist performances in India,TommyJams brings to you dayglocrazie at The Humming Tree. It promises to be a soothing soulful acoustic night.

About dayglocrazie:
In this age of drum loops and EDM machines, he sings and plays with only a guitar. It’s simple music, stripped bare with no accompaniments, embellishments, and fireworks. Only haunting tunes -and words that go straight into people’s hearts. His songs are written in English and have a ‘folky’ feel.

Nikhil Dsouza + Pragnya Wakhlu at Little Door

Share

Nikhil is a 28 year old guitarist/singer-songwriter from Mumbai. The
genre might be loosely defined as eclectic acoustic guitar based pop/alternative/folk. Although a relatively small band setup, the music has a full melodic quality to it mainly due to the use of alternative tunings, favored by such artists as Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley, on most of the tracks.
Listed as on of the “Artists to watch” by Rolling Stones India, and having won the regional finals of Sutasi, an Asia wide music talent search, he’s fast gaining popularity in the music scene in India. His main influences have been Sting, Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice, and Radiohead, besides several others.
A distinctive feature of his original music is the emphasis on strong vocal melodies and lyrics, backed up by skilled and unconventional guitar work

Pragnya Wakhlu is an award winning singer, songwriter and musician from India. Her songs are about inner reflection, thoughts, feelings and issues she feels strongly about. Her solo act is unique as she makes use of live looping & uses her guitar as a percussive instrument. Known for her powerful vocals, soulful singing style and deep lyrics, Pragnya has been making waves on the
music scene in India and abroad
