Share

Arjun Vagale is one of India’s most coveted DJs, part of an exclusive new breed of cutting edge producers who are making a massive globe impact. As one of the country’s leading electronic music exports, he plays incessantly back home and tours regularly in Europe, the USA and Asia. A man with a true passion for the underground, a sound he relentlessly plays, produces and promotes, it’s no surprise that Arjun has received numerous awards for his DJing and production skills, and currently reigns at the top of the DJ Mag India poll.

Kohra is the deep, hypnotic and often grungy mirror image of Madhav Shorey. Raw analog signals and lush soundscapes mixed with percussion sounds and sharp glitches is what can be heard through his mysterious productions. A style that is intelligent enough to mesmerize, yet simple enough to move you.

Constantly paving the way for a new sub-culture of underground dance music is no task for the timid, which is why he has already become the first Indian to have hit the top 10 charts on global industry standards such as Beatport. As a producer his music has been signed to many well respected international record labels including Sounds Of Earth, Trident Music, Wide Angle Recordings and Echoes Records to name a few.

LEVI’S 501 FRIDAY ft. RITVIZ, SICKFLIP & NUCLEYA at The Humming Tree, Bangalore

Share

Ritviz is a music producer/composer/songwriter/singer/rapper from Pune, who started in July 2013. His debut EP titled ‘Vizdumb’ was released on UK’s Relentik Records. Ritviz is a classically trained hindustani musician and works towards creating unique soundscapes that combine his love for bass and Indian classical music.

Ritviz followed up his debut EP with bootleg remixes of Cash Cash’s ‘Take Me Home’ which saw him receive widespread attention from international music blogs such as Nada Brahma and Daily Dose of Bass. In 2015, his track ‘Mukti’ was signed to and released by High Chai Recordings – the US-based global bass music label. He’s currently working on a follow up EP to ‘Vizdumb’.

SickFlip is an electronica solo project brought to life by Sarvesh Shrivastava– a music composer, producer and performer from Mumbai, India.
Musically, SickFlip has an indefinable mix of calm/serene / melodic vibes and
atmospheres to contrasting bass-heavy / chest rattling festival smashers. The stark contrast as a mix of these sounds gives the ‘Flip’ side its resonance. Just in a span of a few years from its emergence, SickFlip belted out worldwide digital releases on record labels like High Chai Records (US), Rub A Duck recordings(Netherlands) , Plain Dope records (UK) & Sony Music (India). The past year also saw him amalgamate travel and music into an elaborate conceptual audio-visual showcase called ‘The Ladakh Project’ which was immensely supported worldwide. Most recently having performed at India’s most essential electronic music festivals like Sunburn Festival, Enchanted Valley Carnival, Vasundhara Festival & NH7 Weekender, he is ready to unleash a lot more collaborative musical projects in the future.

Nucleya redefines Indian electronica by creating a combination of complex cut-up alters and unheard Indian sounds, with cutting-edge production and genre-defying rhythms. For the love of Indian electronica and a craving to make what might be Indian electronica later on, Nucleya is making music that he needs to hear on the grounds, which nobody else has made it for him. This is the next level of Indian electronica in India. Nucleya has been established by Udyan Sagar, a previous member of the Bandish Projekt. Udyan is, to a great degree, an adaptable craftsman, who is not just an artist, but rather a music-maker and a sound-planner. His live performances extend his flexibility and skill, better than expected.
